About Factando
One founder. One job: get freelancers paid.
Factando is built in the Netherlands by Jarno, an independent maker. No venture capital, no growth team, no roadmap committee — one person who got tired of watching freelancers choose between invoicing from a Word template and paying €20+ a month for accounting software stuffed with ledgers they never open.
The idea is deliberately small: a correct, legally numbered invoice in 60 seconds. Add a client, add your line items, hit send — sequential numbering, VAT and a professional layout are handled for you, your client gets a tracking link, and late payers get a polite automatic reminder. That's it. Everything else that creeps into this category is bloat, and bloat is the enemy.
Being a one-person company is not a limitation here — it's the product advantage. Every support email lands in Jarno's own inbox and gets a personal answer. Feature requests go straight from a user's message to the code, often the same week. Early users don't talk to a helpdesk; they talk to the person who ships.
The boring-but-important part: your data lives on EU servers (Frankfurt), payments are processed by Stripe and never touch our systems, your invoice archive is exportable at any time, and issued invoices are never silently deleted — your numbering stays audit-proof.
