Factando and GoDutch: a business account and invoicing, how do they fit?

GoDutch is a business payment account: you receive and pay money, with a card, an app and a link to your accounting software. Factando is not a bank. Factando makes your invoices, sends them, shows who has paid and sends the reminders.

So they are not really competitors. Many freelancers need both: an account where the money arrives, and a way to make invoices and follow them up. Here is what each does well.

What GoDutch does better

  • A business account with card and app, set up within a day according to GoDutch
  • Receive money via iDEAL and Wero, pay with Mastercard and Visa
  • Process and pay incoming invoices
  • Link to Dutch accounting software and payments abroad
  • Personal customer service, available day and night

What Factando does better

  • Make and send a correct invoice in about a minute, even without an account
  • See when your client opens the invoice and who still has to pay
  • With Pro, reminders go out automatically, with an “already paid?” check with you first
  • Reverse charge, the KOR and gap-free numbering under Dutch VAT law built in
  • Works with any bank: download a CSV from your account and Factando finds which invoices were paid
  • Free for up to 3 sent invoices a month

When GoDutch is the better choice

Choose GoDutch if you are looking for a business account: a place where money comes in and that you pay with. Factando doesn't do that.

When Factando fits

Choose Factando for the invoicing itself: invoices that are correct, an overview of what is open, and automatic reminders to clients. It works with GoDutch, and just as well with any other bank.

This comparison is based on public information on the GoDutch website and was last updated in October 2026. Features and prices can change, so always check the current information with the provider. Factando is not affiliated with GoDutch.
